Botanical Dye Adventures
Botanical dyeing is an amazing adventure! Spend the day gaining a whole new perspective on plants that give us color. We’ll be mixing it up with techniques like ombré and bundle dyeing. We’ll gather color from the garden and use plant dyes from sources from further abroad. We’ll use plant and animal fibers - yarn, a tea towel and silk scarf. You’ll go home with a great collection of dyed items.
Experience Level: All levels of dyers from beginner
What you need to bring: Be sure dress in clothes that can get dirty/stained and bring something for taking notes.
Materials cost: $50 includes all mordants, tannins, dyestuffs, yarn, tea towel, silk scarf instructions and resource list.
Class schedule: Saturday July 26 9-4
