Dyeing to Weave Day 2 (Rigid Heddle Weaving Day)

$100.00

Does the warping process of a floor loom overwhelm you? Is your stash of homespun yarn or other beautiful yarn taking over your home? That used to be me until I learned the ease of warping a rigid heddle loom.

Join me to learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Talk like a weaver, direct warp a rigid heddle loom like a pro, and create something beautiful. We will work through the direct warping steps and create a short table runner or placemat. I will provide rigid heddle looms (10” or 15” Schacht Cricket) so you can try before you buy your own. These portable looms allow you to create on the go!

This is day 2 of the Dyeing to Weave Experience. We will learn to warp a rigid heddle loom and watch our dyed yarn create cool effects in our project.

If you are just interested in the weaving experience without the dyeing day you can just sign up for this day. Anne can supply everything you need.

Experience Level: Beginner

What you need to bring: pencil, scissors, yarn bowl or container to hold yarn while warping, measuring tape

Materials cost if you attend Day 1: $30: includes the use of rigid heddle loom and all the warping/weaving tools and my warp yarn.

Materials cost if you are just doing the weaving day: $45 which will include yarn from Anne’s flock for weft rather than the dyed yarn from Friday's class.

Class schedule: Saturday July 26 9-4

Instructor: Anne Sammons

This is a full day class. We offer a box lunch option or you can bring your own. Look for the lunch listing with the rest of the workshops here.
